KEYS FOR KIDS

Collecting keys is a fun and easy way to give back to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Kansas – a perfect activity for all ages and groups. When large amounts of keys are collected at Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House, we take them to a recycling center. The recycling center confirms recycling prices and then provides us a check. This check goes back into the House for general operating expenses – keeping our doors open to continue to keep families close to their hospitalized children.
Why collect old keys?
This is a fun way to clean out your drawers, it’s good for the environment, and you benefit the Ronald McDonald House and families we serve.
What keys do we accept?
We accept loose keys. Please remove key rings.
How can I find more keys?
Good places to ask are: locksmiths, hardware stores, realty companies, apartment houses, hospitals, banks, car dealers, etc.. Most businesses are happy to donate their keys. If you give us the business name and address, we’ll send them an acknowledgement for their donation to help the families and children who stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
Where do I drop them off?
Drop them off at the Ronald McDonald House, 825 SW Buchanan Street, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
