Our Board member Kellye Burkholder first got involved and volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities in Galveston, TX. There she worked with patients at the University of Texas Medical Branch and on occasion, the patients at Shriner’s Burn Center. Kellye loves the support Ronald McDonald House provides for the families of sick children. She too had a child that was sick but was fortunate to have been able to keep him at home for the duration of his short life. In addition to being an active RMHC volunteer, Kellye volunteers on Sundays in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Stormont Vail as well as serves on various committees and Boards in the community. Kellye says, “This is very rewarding and helps me to feel like I am able to give back.” She has three children: Lauren, Trevor and Kellan, and has been with her wonderful husband Nathan for 18 years. They love to jeep in Lake City, CO when the mountain passes are clear, and enjoy hiking, camping, and float trips with friends and family. Kellye loves to fly fish every chance she gets. She says she is thankful for her position on the RMHC Board of Directors and is happy to support such a wonderful organization. Kellye is a true blessing for the Ronald McDonald House and our families!
